Episode 71
As we continue to move forward into 2020 I have an encouraging word for you about your past. Leave it in the past, as my title says, “Stop looking in the rear view mirror”! If we drove down the road looking in our rear view mirrors and never looked forward we would never get to our destination, our goal or our future that God has for us. Looking in the rear view mirror at what’s behind for too long can cause you to be: distracted, confused, uncertain, insecure, and unsafe. We must keep our eyes on what God has planned for us this coming year. I want you to be encouraged as well when others try to remind you of your past especially the enemy, take a stand and be bold in letting them know that you are a new person through Jesus Christ, and that you are moving forward in what God has for you. Remember what Paul wrote in to the church in Corinth in 2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Do not let anyone tell you otherwise, this is a new day, a new year, a fresh chance to start new!
The Prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 43: 18-19
18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Remember you are not alone, you have the Holy Spirit right there with in you just rely on Him for guidance and things will turn out fine. I want you to look forward to this year as a chance to focus more on the Lord, and to build a closer relationship with Him. Commit to reading your Bibles and to sharing the Good News about Jesus. Stop looking in the rear view mirror and look forward to an amazing adventure with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Enjoy The Show!
